Just before Spring Break, five of ASB\u2019s volleyball teams and two high school soccer teams competed in the IBERIA Tournament in Cambrils. The athletes left right after school on Tuesday, March 28th, and arrived at Cambrils Park Resort a couple of hours later. Following their arrival, all teams enjoyed free time to explore the resort and rest before the big day ahead.\u00a0The teams had an early wake up call at 7:00, ate a quick breakfast, before departing to their respective games shortly thereafter; the volleyball players left for the Pavell\u00f3 Cap Salou which was a few kilometers away from the resort. From the very first game, ASB began dominating the tournament with our volleyball teams winning all of their games the first day. After a triumphant day, the volleyball players were bussed to the Futbol Salou Sports Center to support their fellow ASB soccer athletes as their games wrapped up for the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next day, our players woke up ready to go into the finals. All teams had intense last games, but everyone played their absolute best. ASB\u2019s two Girls Infantil volleyball teams played each other in the middle school finals, taking home first and second place. Cadete girls won first place in the girls JV finals, while the boys team and Juvenil girls also won their varsity divisions. We couldn\u2019t be prouder of this ASB sweep!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for our soccer teams, after a long day in the hot sun, they both played tremendously well and came in fourth place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A huge congratulations to the champions of the IBERIA Tournament and everyone else who participated! It was an incredibly successful culmination of remarkably hard work from the players and coaches alike. So much improvement has been seen on every team from every player, and we look forward to seeing our athletes continue in the coming months!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
