awakens me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The golden hue<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">spills into my room,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The birds sing,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">undisturbed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the humans<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">begin to stir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I lay there in my bed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">existing between night and day,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I just sit there in dread;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I would prefer to decay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The serenity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">is sickening,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The light<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">is lament,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the singing birds sound<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">like an air vent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the day,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I dream of sleep,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hoping to obtain<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the ultimate peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Why am I like this?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m supposed to love<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the day,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To take advantage of the light<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">that allows me to display<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My beautiful petals<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and my sturdy stem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But I hate those petals,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I hate that stem,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I hate the roots<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That grew me them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wish for rain,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">pray for a flood<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To rot my roots<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and clean my blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I can\u2019t die,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I\u2019m only a sprout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wish I could ask for help,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">but I can only silently shout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So I sit there in my bed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">rotting away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p
